The term Ulama (singular: Alim) refers to the scholars of Islam — the inheritors of the Prophets — who dedicate their lives to preserving and teaching Islamic knowledge. From interpreting the Qur’an and Hadith to guiding communities on Shariah matters, the Ulama play a vital role in every generation.
