Salaam I just want to know if bankruptcy is halal if you want to finish a interest based mortgage, as their is no equity in the property an Islamic mortgage has been refused. I want to also get rid of my unsecured depts too which also contain interest and these are with the Dept management plan. I have no job in 2 weeks time as my job was temporary and my husband works as self employed but at the moment the work is very quiet.
I would be very grateful if you could reply to this as soon as possible as I’ve already tried to get advice but I am getting mixed messages.
