When the Weather is Hot

On an extremely hot day, if a person recites:

Transliteration:
Lā ilāha illallāhu, mā ashad da ḥarra hādhāl yawm, allāhumma ajirnī min ḥarri jahannam.

Translation:
There is no deity except Allah. How hot is this day! O Allāh! Protect me from the heat of Jahannam.

Allāh, the Mighty, the Exalted, says to Jahannam,
“Indeed, one of My servants has asked Me for protection from your heat. Bear witness that I have protected him.”

(‘Amalul-yawm wal-laylah)
