    Sir,

pardon my intrusion. I am not Muslim, but am curious, not just for curiosity’s sake I promise you! Is it true that Muslims should refrain from sexual practises in the month before Ramadan?

    My best regards

    • Jenni,
To the best of my knowledge we are not told specifically to refrain from initmate marital relations during the month of Shaban. However, we are encouraged to fast in this month and of the conditions of the fast, as you most probably already know, is that one should refrain from intimate marital relations whilst in the state of fasting, ie between dawn and sunset.

      I hope that helps.

    Assalamu Alaikum,

Brother Ahmed, there was an article I assume written by you titled- Eighteen Reasons for Fasting on July 11th 2013 where the word God was repeatedly being used. Could it not be substituted by Allah (SWT)? As God concedes to have gender by the idol worshipers.
