Ramadan is more than fasting from food and drink, it is a sacred opportunity for Muslims to cleanse the heart and draw nearer to Allah. A spiritual detox in Ramadan means shedding distractions, guarding one’s gaze, purifying intentions, and nurturing habits that bring inner peace and mindfulness
- Keep free from eating hi-calorie flesh (gossip) of others – no matter how juicy
- Switch to fat free truths
- Avoid artificial tempers
- Do voice therapy by reciting the Holy Quran
- Purify your eyes by crying in Du’a
- Do hand reflexology on tasbeehs
- Brighten your smile with a miswak
- Take the weight off your shoulders by paying zakat
- Shrug off those extra kilos of sins by repenting
