Dua on Marriage/ Wedding
The following hadith gives the believer guidance on the Sunnah dua on marriage/ wedding. These blessed words are to be recited when congratulating one on the completion of their Nikah and is a beautiful way of asking Allah to bless the newly married couple.
Dua for the Newlywed
Abu Hurairah (ุฑูุถููู ูฑูููููฐูู ุนููููู) said that when the Prophet (๏ทบ) congratulated a man on his marriage he said:
ุจูุงุฑููู ุงูููู ููููุ ููุจูุงุฑููู ุนูููููููุ ููุฌูู ูุนู ุจูููููููู ูุง ููู ุฎูููุฑ
Transliteration: Baarakallaahu laka, wa baaraka โalayka, wa jamaโa baynakumaa fee khayr.
Dua on Marriage Translation
โAllah bless you, and may He send blessings upon you, and may He unite you both in good.โ
(Tirmidhi)
May Allah grant us all successful marriages and spouses who make us better as people, Ameen!
