Blessed places where Duas are accepted

While writing a letter to the people of Makkah, Imaam Hasan Al-Basri (RA) advised them of the following 15 places in Makkah where duas are accepted:

Inside the Baitullah
At Multazam
In Arafat
In Muzdalifah
In Mina
While performing Tawaf
While performing Sa’ee
At the hill of Safa
At the hill of Marwa
At the well of Zam Zam
At Maqam of Ibraheem
Under the Meezaab or aqueduct of the Ka’bah.
Near the big Shaytan
Near the middle Shaytan
Near the small Shaytan

In some other narrations places and instances such as Rukne- Yamani, Mataaf (where tawaf is commenced), near Hajr Aswad and on first sighting the Baytullah are also mentioned.

Hour of Accepted Dua on Jumuah

Dua in Anticipation of Ramadan

On the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), used to say the following when the month of Rajab began.
اَللّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِى رَجَبَ وَ شَعْبَانَ وَ بَلِّغْنَا رَمَضَان
“Oh Allah! Bless us in Rajab and Sha`ban, and bring us, oh Allah, to Ramadan.”
[Narrated by Tabarani and Ahmad]

Dua When Visiting the Ill

لَا بَأْسَ طَهُورٌ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ

No need to worry. It (this illness) is a means of cleansing from sins, if Allâh wills.

Dua When Ill or Having Disease

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّّ النَّاسِ أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي

لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءٌ لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمَاً
O Allah, Lord of the people, remove all harm, give cure, for you are the one who cures. There is no curing except Your curing – a curing that leaves no illness.

Dua Upon Hearing Thunder

Abdullah ibn Umar (RA) said that when the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) heard the sound of thunder he said:

اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَقْتُلْنَا بِغَضَبِكَ وَلَا تُهْلِكْنَا بِعَذَابِكَ وَعَافِنَا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ

O Allah, do not kill us with Your anger and do not destroy us with Your punishment, but preserve us before that happens.

Dua When Entering a Market or Mall

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ

وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لَا يَمُوتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخُيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٍ

There is no Lord except Allah. He is One and has no partners. His is the Kingdom and for Him are all praises. He gives life and gives death. He is eternal and everlasting In His control is goodness, and He has power over everything.
